FANTASTIC BEGINNINGS

The story of The Fantastic Catering started in 2017 when Patrick invited Allex, Cliff, Malerbe, and Wilfred over for a family BBQ. What began as an intimate gathering between five close friends led to a few surprises that would change the course of their friendship in business and in life.

After Patrick revealed the news that he had gotten married, he pulled his friends aside and opened up a heartfelt conversation about their futures and the legacies they wanted to leave behind. Familiar with their diverse skill sets and backgrounds, he proposed the idea to launch a Catering company together — a business venture that had potential to shine a light on each of their individual talents, and to bring the community together around their love for Haitian culture and cuisine.

The rest is history.

MEET THE team

Patrick Goyau, Owner & Executive Chef

“I genuinely have a passion for what I do. I love to cook. I love creating menus. What motivates me is the fact that this is a safe space for me to be creative.”

Allex Joseph, Owner & Business Manager

“I bring all of the front of the house and business experience. I organize all of our inquiries, and ensure all of that information is forwarded to our chefs.”

Cliff Datilus, Chef Du Cuisine

“I would say I bring the control. More specifically cost control to ensure we aren’t producing a lot of waste.”

Malerbe Francois, Sous Chef

I’m the organizer. It’s always been my thing to make sure we’re always on top of that.”

Wilfred Cadet, Bartender

I bring the fun. With these guys being family first, I also bring unity. Unity is what makes us. It’s the family. Unity is what brings us all together.

FANTASTIC VALUES

We’re all God fearing men. Typically with all of our meetings, we’ll open with prayer. We’ll say something like ‘if there’s anything you want to talk about that’s not pertaining to this meeting or discussion, feel free to open up.

So by creating that environment, we all know that despite where we are in business — whether we’re up or we’re down, we’re not just business partners. We’re brothers. We’re family. Making sure that bond is alive and well every single time is what allows us to grow together.”
